Your generosity impacts lives like Cory’s, a Club member of over five years who began to struggle socially as he approached the critical teen years. Head hung low, Cory would walk into the Club and announce that “every day at school is a bad day.” Our team took action and worked with Cory to set personal goals around responsibility and leadership. He took to heart the advice he received on how to “make it a good day” and how to accept his emotions while regulating his response.
Cory began to grow in his personal leadership. He eagerly started to volunteer, helping our younger members during Power Hour (daily homework time) and helping our team clean up after snack time. Cory became an enthusiastic motivator, encouraging our younger members to participate in activities.
